| Okay, so, essentially, this is a topic created simply to either:
a) complain or b) not complain (did that make any sense??)
Since I figure most people have read it by the time they get back on here, then we can have fun talking about it...
But I'm going to wait until someone gives me the okay to talk.

| Well, I loved it.
Although I don't think she gave herself enough time to write the beginning because there are some parts where it's really sloppy. But the ending was amazing, and well plotted-I thought.
But this book was different, you know? It wasn't about how much she loved Edward, we'd already established that. It was about her unfailing love for her child and her desire to protect her.
I thought it was really good. I hate kids, but this really brought out my maternal half. :>
And, and go ahead and talk about it, btw. lol

| I think she did a good job ending the series. most people expected a not-so-perfect ending, though. like a charecter dieing or something. but i liked it... i dont know why everyone is so mad.. | |

| It was a good ending and plotline. It was different and I am not sure whether I liked it or not. Bella seemed kinda characterless in this book. Kinda like all the little things that are just from her normal life when nothing special happens got squeezed out-and those are the bits that really make her real.
I don't dislike Nessie, but the baby basically took over the whole book and everything else was crammed into too-small bits-there wasn't space for all the little things that made the other books extra special-and that's what I didn't like.

| Well, I'm not saying that it wasn't a bad book, or anything like that, I'm just saying that it could have been better written. At least the end of it.
I thought the beginning was excellent, and Jacob's pov, but not so much the parts with Nessie.
And what the hell was up with the name Renesmee? I mean, it's a stupid name. *sigh* Got that off my chest. I'm better now.

| Ikr? Her middle name, "Carlie," is so much better.
I think it was written fine throughout, it was just missing the small details in most (but not all) places that made it such a good series. however, I'm just repeating myself now.

Or do you...
Well, I don't, but I know its prety fucking time-consuming. Even your a sex-god vampiah. :>

| I don't really think this book went along with the series. I think this book should've tied all the loose ends rather than start new ones. Like I think the Volturi should've been the center of tension throughout the entire book. Instead, Stephenie presents a new problem: a baby. Which is nearly impossible the way Stephenie set it up. She goes back and says "Oh, I said venom replaced most bodily fluids." So are you telling me that sperm is more powerful than venom? I highly doubt it judging the way the fetus affected Bella so much. And Jacob? I mean, honestly. At least let him have a little bit of dignity! He falls for Bella and puts his heart into it and falls completely. He should've just gotten over but instead... he imprints on her child? Yeah... oh and a fight scene would have been nice.
Overall, I think Stephenie Meyer was thinking about making everyone happy rather than thinking about what the story called for. And I think she wasn't killing anyone off because she loves her characters so much. I was really hoping for an ending like Harry Potter but... that didn't happen. I was really disappointed with this book overall and I think most people convinced themselves that Stephenie Meyer and her books could do no wrong and instead of facing the truth, they convince themselves to love it. Now, I'm not talking about you all, though it may apply... but for the rest of the fandom.

| Renesme? What the fuck?
I liked it, but think that the baby was sorta out of the blue and not a real great idea. It just didn't flow as well as the otehrs. I did like Jacob's point of View though.
Well, I'm tired, I just came back from the beach so I'll discuss it with you later.

| I agree with Twi. I just thought that BD was well, boring. That's why it took me so long to read it. I'm not a slow reader, even though you all think I am. I just didn't like it and I knew what was going to happen anyway. And I really was expecting the Volturi to be more important than just for filling the last ten pages of the book. And a baby?! This was rather a fanfic than a proper ending for the Twilight series. I mean, Twilight was so mysterious and everything, compared to BD. Because I think that BD was mostly about Bella and Edward having sex and whatnot that points in that direction :/ I'm sorry, this sentence didn't make any sense, but I think you'll get what I mean. | |

| Evey, if she was truly concerned about making everyone happy, don't you think that the 'baby' idea doesn't back that up the way it should... | |

| Something was missing in BD for me. It just didn't feel right.... Eclipse will forever be the end of the series to me...I guess in a way it always has been because the series started to lose its touch when it got big for me. The more popular something is the less inclined I am to go for it....:/ Like a BD release party? It was nice and all but I was like JUST GIVE ME MY EFFING BOOK! gahh. And then all those girls that don't get the book for what it is just a bunch of "OMG EDWARD IS SO HOT!" grr.. Anyway I digress...a lot. It's growing on me now though, I'm starting to like it more now but it will never be what the first three where to me. | |
